GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH ) launched their second Horlicks food product yesterday (11 June) with the introduction of  Junior Horlicks Biscuits.


The company said the move was part of a strategy to expand the Horlicks branded product offering.


“Through Junior Horlicks Biscuits, we are venturing into the novel toddler biscuit category and, going forward, we are expecting a contribution of around 30-50% in overall sales of the brand Junior Horlicks,” GSKCH EVP marketing Shubhajit Sen said.


“We want to create a balanced product portfolio and for that the company is constantly expanding its offering. In the current year, we may introduce around 10-12 more products in India,” Sen added.


GSKCH indicated that its focus would be on the health and wellness category.
