The frozen range will be an extension of its Kitchen of India brand. It will include packaged meals and snacks.

According to ITC Foods chief executive officer Ravi Naware, the frozen foods will be manufactured at the company’s Bangalore facility.

This is the seventh food category that ITC will operate in. The company owns various household brands including Aashirvaad, Sunfeast and Bingo.

Recently, the Bangalore-based foods division has started to export frozen vegetarian foods to overseas markets. It also plans to beef up its existing product line-up, expanding ITC’s confectionery and snack offering.
