Global fast food chain McDonald’s expects to break-even in India in 2003, with 15 more restaurants opening this year as part of its expansion plans.

“We will achieve break-even in 2003 for our Indian operations,” said McDonald’s India’s managing director Vikram Bakshi. Bakshi added that McDonald’s would introduce two new products in India this year both in the vegetarian and non-vegetarian category.

The food chain will open its second outlet in Jaipur soon while making its debut in the southern city of Bangalore. The company said it had no plans to enter the eastern part of India at present.
