Keventer MD Mayank Jalal said the partnership will also include an unnamed overseas investor but he declined to identify the third party.

“We will be signing a memorandum of understanding with the Rajasthan government tomorrow but I cannot confirm who the other partner will be at this point, Jalal told just-food today (29 November) “We have been in talks with three European and one Australian company.”

When fully operational, the 3m litre dairy will supply to domestic and foreign markets, with a strong focus on the Middle-East, Jalal said.

Keventer, an agro-processing company with annual turnover of US$500m, has experience of joining forces with overseas investors. Last year, it teamed up with Germany’s Metro Group to open retail operations in West Bengal under the name Keventer Fresh.
