Nestlé India, the local arm of the Swiss food giant, is entering a sector seeing “strong demand” in India, a spokesman based at the company’s global HQ in Switzerland said today (27 July).
“Over the past few years, Nestlé India broadened its product range and gone beyond milk and culinary products,” the spokesman told just-food.
Local reports said Nestlé will sell Nestlé Nesvita Dahi in 200g and 400g packs, priced at INR15 and INR25 respectively.
Nestlé India saw sales in the market rise 11% last year to INR29.4bn (US$727.5m). Underlying profits rose 2% to INR4.8bn.
