Nestlé has said it will expand capacity at its factory in Goa, India, as part of a three-year investment plan in the key emerging market.

The Switzerland-based food giant said today (3 August) that the expansion at its factory in Ponda, Goa, is part of its INR7bn (US$125m) investment in India over the past three years.

Kit Kat and Munch brands stand to benefit most from the factory expansion, which will create 250 jobs, the firm said.

“We have been in India for 100 years and have factories in eight locations across the country,” said Jean-Marc Duvoisin, global head of human resources at Nestlé. “India is important for us and we have deep roots here.”
