The product is still in the developmental stage, a spokesperson for PepsiCo India told just-food today (17 November).
However, the company was able to confirm that it is currently working on a low-price product with a high nutritional value.
Although the price it yet to be determined, Indian reports have suggested that the new product will cost between INR1 (US$0.02) and INR2.
The move is expected to strengthen PepsiCo’s presence in rural and semi-rural markets.
