Indonesia’s Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) said that a number of snack products have been confirmed to be contaminated with melamine, according to reports.

Chocolates under the Yake Assorted Candies brand have been found to contain 5.86ppm of melamine, the agency told The Jakarta Post.
The confirmation follows a report from the Indonesian Consumer Group (YLKI) that listed ten products allegedly containing melamine, most of which were children’s snacks.
Since last year’s milk contamination scare in China, a large number of manufacturers have withdrawn products from sale, including Cadbury and Unilever.
