Ireland-based dairy and nutrition group Glanbia is to make a number of job losses, the company has confirmed.
The redundancies were understood to have been announced to the company’s 800 employees in CityWest, Dublin last week and, although not confirmed, is believed to be around 50.
The cuts are part of an “ongoing rationalisation programme”, a company spokesperson told just-food, within Glanbia’s sales, marketing and financial divisions and will be phased in, the company said.
The company said it will “work with unions and employee representatives to try and secure the redundancies on a voluntary basis”.
