The Irish Dairy Board (IDB) has appointed Ian Toal as CEO UK consumer foods arm Adams Foods.
Toal, managing director of IAWS Foods UK, a subsidiary of Swiss baker Aryzta, is expected to take up the position later this summer.

He will be responsible for an Adams Foods business that includes its branded range of dairy products under the Kerrygold and Pilgrims Choice brands and its cheese pre-packaging facilities in the UK.
Toal joined Aryzta in 2008 and held roles as managing director of Delice de France, managing director of Cuisine de France and latterly managing director of IAWS Foods UK.
His career also includes time at foodservice company Brakes and Maple Leaf Foods.
IDB chief executive Kevin Lane said: “Adams Foods has an excellent team, strong brands and operates state-of-the art facilities. The British market is our largest export market and is central to our growth plans for the business. Ian will bring a wide range of experience and has the ambition, energy and skills to maximise the development of the business.”
