Reox Holdings told just-food that it has received a number of bids for the business, which owns brands including Dairygold butter and Shaw’s deli meats.
“The company has now entered into the final stages of negotiation with regard to finalising a sale agreement,” Reox said, without naming the potential suitors.
Reox added: “The timeline for the completion of a sale may well be impacted by the need for a bid to get Competition Authority approval. This process will commence immediately after a sale is agreed, and could take a number of months to complete.”
Reports in Ireland have repeatedly linked Kerry Foods to a bid for Breeo. Kerry, however, remains tight-lipped over the speculation.
