Nestlé Ireland, a subsidiary of Swiss food giant Nestlé, has said it has introduced low-carbohydrate versions of two of its chocolate brands onto the Irish market.

The low-carbohydrate versions of KitKat and Rolo, which will cost more than their traditional counterparts, have hit supermarket shelves in Ireland, where Nestlé hopes to cash in on the increased popularity of low-carbohydrate diets, such as Atkins.
Nestlé said research had suggested that almost a third of adults in Ireland were trying to lose weight most of the time, reported the Irish Times.
