Already listed in one national supermarket, Rita Ahern’s Traditional Irish Potato Cakes, Potato Rings and Wedges ‘n’ Bacon Stir Fry are billed as “a tasty and convenient” alternative to standard spuds.
Rita Ahern products are made from fresh Irish potatoes for their texture and flavour to a family recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation. Only 100% traceable ingredients are used and Rita Ahern products are free of preservatives and artificial colourings, the company says.
Rita Ahern’s Potato Cakes and Potato Rings can both be baked in the oven, grilled or shallow fried from frozen. The Wedges ‘n’ Bacon Stir Fry is advertised as a meal in itself.
The recommended retail price for Rita Ahern’s Traditional Irish Potato Cakes and Potato Rings is £1.49, while the company’s Bacon ‘n’ Wedges will sell at £1.99.
