The annual food convention, organised by the food division at the Manufacturers Association of Israel, provides its members with updated information the food industry world-wide, with particular emphasis on the trends and rapid changes and developments which characterise this sector. Heads of local and international food companies will project their companies’ achievements in these fields.
Among the subjects to be discussed in a series of seminars are food marketing during economic recession; the food chain from producer to consumer; new products as a lever to succeed in business; the impact of globalisation on nutritional aspects; kosher food – an opportunity or a threat; food chains-supplier relationships in the new era; and the role of inspection as a tool to prevent ‘food terror’, Gezy Kaplan, chairman of the Food Division, told just-food.com.
