The company booked sales of US$80.5m in the first quarter of the year, a jump of 13.4%.


In the last two months, Frutarom has acquired two UK flavours companies, Belmay and Jupiter Flavours. These acquisitions, Frutarom said, contributed to the rise in sales and made it the leading flavours company in the UK.


Gross profit for the first quarter rose 10.2% to reach $29.8m compared with $ 27m last year.


Ori Yehudai, Frutarom president and CEO, said: “Frutarom expects to achieve internal profitable growth in our core activities, while continuing implementing our rapid growth strategy, at higher rates than the industry.”
