Exports are forecasted to increase in 2004 to US$106.0m, based on the success of the Fine Foods From Israel campaign held during the third quarter of 2003, encouraging the purchase of Israeli food products. The food campaign was organised by the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, Israel Manufacturers Association and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

According to the Export Institute, sales of Israeli foods on the North American markets during the first 9 months of 2003 was up 24% to US$56.5m. Seidler added that delegations of Israeli food exporters are scheduled to visit Poland and Russia in 2004, aimed at increasing the export volume to these countries.
