Israeli coffee and chocolate maker Elite Industries has said it is in talks to acquire the coffee business of Polish company MK for €40m (US$45.4m).

Elite said it would issue a further announcement if and when an agreement is made, reported Reuters.

Elite is the world’s eighth-largest coffee company in terms of sales and has recently been investing heavily in overseas expansion. In December Elite bought 40% of Serbia-Montenegro’s Doncafe and Bosnia’s Doncafe Commerce.
