Israel-based ingredients firm Solbar has named former Unilever executive Shaul Shelach as CEO.

Shelach, 52, worked with consumer goods giant Unilever, where he headed up the company’s Israeli’s Strauss ice cream business.
“In the world of soy, Solbar has all the necessary elements, from excellent human resources and extensive know-how to proven production facilities to strengthen our position as a major player in the market,” Shelach said.
Former Solbar CEO Uri Eshel has taken the top job at the Kibbutz Hazor business.
