Israeli food maker Strauss Group has appointed Tomer Harpaz as its vice president for strategy and business development.
Harpaz, who will start his role on 18 July, will also join the group’s executive team.
Gadi Lesin, Strauss’s president and CEO, said: “Tomer has diverse experience as manager, entrepreneur and CEO and chairman at strategic consulting firms. I am confident that with his capabilities and energy, Tomer will be instrumental in taking Strauss Group to the next level of growth and development, and I wish him much success in his new role.”
Harpaz will be responsible for formulating and steering group and company-level business strategies, managing business development processes across the group, and building and developing technologic innovation, the company said.
Harpaz started his career in strategic consulting as manager of POC, one of Israel’s largest strategic consulting firms. He subsequently served as CEO of ARA Minerals, a company specialising in building mines overseas.
Later on in his career, among other projects, he was the founder and chairman of re:bar.
