Israel-based G. Willi-Food International has appointed Amir Kaplan as chief financial officer, effective immediately.

The company, which specialises in the development, marketing and international distribution of kosher foods, also announced Yitschak Barabi, the former interim chief financial officer, has been appointed as controller and deputy chief financial officer.

As a permanent appointment, Kaplan replaces Pavel Buber, the previous CFO, who was “released” from his position in July, just weeks after the arrival of new CEO Tim Cranko and the departure of president Iram Graiver.

Kaplan was previously CFO of RSL Electronics, an Israel-based company that develops diagnostics and prognostics systems for the aerospace, energy, and defence sectors.

Willi-Food is engaged directly and through its subsidiaries in the design, import, marketing and distribution of over 600 food products worldwide.

It markets and sells its food products to more than 1,500 customers in Israel and around the world including large retail and private supermarket chains, wholesalers and institutional consumers.
