Fresh Del Monte has confirmed the opening of a new office in Italy.

The facility, a spokesperson for the fresh fruit and vegetable company said today (21 August), will be located in Milan.

The spokesperson said it is the only office for Fresh Del Monte in the country and will serve as the Italian headquarters for the Fresh division.

According to reports, the facility will be led by commercial director Piero Casalini.

The company declined to give further details on the new facility or how many people will be employed at the site.
