ITALY: Italian authorities give microfiltrated milk the OK
Italian authorities approved a new microfiltration procedure to treat fresh milk last Friday. The process, which removes some of the serum, allows milk to last longer than traditional fresh milk. The treated product does not however last as long as UHT milk, which is not classified as fresh.
