Bidders for Unilever’s frozen-foods business in Italy are due to make their next offers in the middle of next month, it was reported today (7 June).
According to Dow Jones Newswires, a clutch of private-equity firms including Birds Eye Iglo owner Permira, Lion Capital, the owner of Findus Group and PAI Partners are expected to submit bids.

Unilever confirmed long-running speculation in April that it was looking to sell Findus Italy.
The Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant said a sale of Findus Italy would allow it to up investment in “core” categories in the country.
