James Hill told the Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper that the bidding process for Findus Italy was moving along better than Unilever had expected.

“The sale started in April and is going ahead beyond our rosiest expectations, but one cannot say who a favourite could be,” Hill said.
Hill declined to comment on a price for the business or on the identity of any buyers but said Unilever’s logistics network in Italy would appeal to potential suitors.
Unilever confirmed last month that it was looking to sell Findus Italy to allow it to focus on “core” categories in the country.
