Parmalat USA, a subsidiary of Parmalat Finanziaria SpA, confirmed its activities to secure a supply of basic products and offer help in any way necessary during the wake of the tragic events that occurred in US territory Tuesday (11 September).
“Our deepest sympathies go out to all of the people and families that have been affected by this terrible act of cowardice, and we are committed to support all of the emergency efforts to assist during these difficult times”, commented Aldo Uva, President and CEO of Parmalat USA.
Parmalat USA is currently organizing efforts to aide authorities and organizations involved in the management of this crisis as well as upholding as much as possible, a regular delivery schedule, so there will not be a shortage of product in this time of national crisis.
In the wake of today’s tragic events, Parmalat USA has taken additional measures in order to ensure that an ample supply of both fresh and shelf- stable milk will be readily available to the public and aiding corps. “We are making sure that the utmost effort is being put into production, and we have taken additional steps to increase testing and safety procedures performed on all production lines to guarantee the highest quality and product integrity,” confirmed Uva.
On site efforts are being conducted to organize a blood drive “We are shocked by the events but we also realize that it will take everybody’s effort to support the people affected by this tragedy. We know that we can count on our Parmalat employees to rise to this occasion of national crisis,” Uva added.
