Low turnover of shares has forced US food company Archer Daniels Midland Co to delist from the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The TSE plans to monitor the company’s shares and has accepted the request, which comes 12 years after ADM was first listed.

The company revealed its decision today (8 September) following a long running decline in interest from Japanese shareholders. Recently, Arthur Daniels has experienced a turnover of only 7,000 shares per day, and is preparing to be removed from the TSE on 15 December.
