Japanese supermarket chain Daiei has posted a 1.6% drop in its January same-store sales.
The struggling retailer is now likely to post sales for its financial year (ending this month) below the previous year’s level, which the company had set as this year’s target.
By the end of February, Daiei plans to establish measures to improve its sales operations in a bid to increase sales in the next financial year, reported Jiji Press.
