Last week prices fell by JPY2.0 (US$0.017) from the previous week, to JPY707 (US$5.9) per 100g, said the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries.


The average retail price of imported beef increased by JPY4.0 compared with the previous week, to JPY376 per 100g. The average retail price of eggs in Japan increased by JPY2.0, to JPY168 for a pack of 10 medium-sized eggs, reported the news digest.
