Japanese convenience store operator FamilyMart has booked a slight dip in second quarter operating profit, despite an increase in sales.
The company said that operating profit rose to JPY25.47bn in the period to end-August, down from JPY25.9bn in the comparable period of last year.

Sales were rose from JPY172bn to JPY175bn, the company revealed in a regulatory filing today (7 October).
Net income increased to JPY14bn from JPY12.7bn, FamilyMart added.
