JAPAN/GERMANY: Japan’s Takeda sells vitamin operations to BASF
Takeda Chemical Industries Ltd has sold its shares in four foreign vitamin subsidiaries, including Takeda Vitamin & Food USA Inc., to Germany's BASF AG as part of the stock transfer conducted under its July 2000 tie-up with the company on bulk vitamins.
Takeda Chemical Industries Ltd has sold its shares in four foreign vitamin subsidiaries, including Takeda Vitamin & Food USA Inc., to Germany’s BASF AG as part of the stock transfer conducted under its July 2000 tie-up with the company on bulk vitamins.
Takeda Chemical also disposed of subsidiaries in Germany, Canada and Singapore. The units produce and sell vitamin raw materials that are included in pharmaceutical products, as well as health foods and supplements.
