Morinaga Milk is now adding lactoferrin to Mammy milk, its mainstay lactic acid bacteria drink aimed at children but drunk by all members of the family.

The company says it is remarketing the product in line with its other yogurt offerings as having the near the goodness of breast milk.

The company declined to specify whether its lactoferrin is human derived or bovine but did suggest that Morinaga laboratories are working closely with mother’s milk components.

Morinaga now says it will include about 200mg in its milk-based drinks, pointing out that human breast milk contains about 100-300mg in the same sized serving.
