In house communication and decision-making at scandal–ridden Snow Brand Milk Products will be improved this week, as the company revealed plans to streamline the process by abolishing the divisional headquarters that act as middle men between production heads and supervisory offices.

Of the four regional intermediary branches, three will be closed on Thursday. Sales and production technology headquarters will also be closed and a food hygiene laboratory is to be established with the purpose of researching dangerous bacteria.
The move comes after Snow Brand received extensive criticism for the way it handled a serious incidence of food poisoning last summer. It apparently took some time for the president to even learn of the situation, and longer for the recall of infected product to get underway.
