JORDAN: Government becomes member of International Olive Oil Council
The government of Jordan has decided to find the US$36,000 membership fee to join the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC). Based in Madrid, Spain, the IOOC promotes olive oil produced by member countries on international markets. Jordan has forecast 2002 output of olives at 200,000 tonnes, with olive oil at 35,000t.
