Kerry Group has added to the Fire & Smoke cooked meats range on sale in the UK with a line of snack pots.
The chicken products go on sale in the UK next month after Ireland-based Kerry launched the pots in its domestic market this summer. Kerry is hoping the new products can build on what senior brand manager Hilary Hughes called “a phenomenally successful first year on-shelf” for Fire & Smoke in the UK following its launch last August.
“Fire & Smoke On the Go will be the perfect anytime snack, as well as a protein pick me up for busy, active people looking for something tasty to keep them satisfied when out and about, for example after the gym,” Hughes said.
Kerry, which also sells meat snacks in the UK under the Mattessons brand, has developed three Fire & Smoke snack pots, dubbing them Hellishly Hot Sweet Heat, Good Ol’ Smokin’ BBQ, and Mighty Fine Fire Grilled Chicken. The company said the flavours were “inspired by the American Deep South method of flame cooking”.
The 65g pots have a recommended retail price of GBP0.65.
