The Kids Food Co. has announced its entry into Australia and Japan.

The Kiddylicious owner, which has a presence in the UK, Spain and Korea, has secured listings for five ranges in Australia with the full Coles supermarket chain and claims it will be the largest fruit snacking toddler range in Australia by the end of June.

It is also working with Costco Japan as Asia Pacific continues to be a "key focus" for 2015 it said. The firm said it has plans to double the number of markets from six to 12.

Neil Walker, head of Kids Food Co's international business, said: "Our plans to extend our UK success internationally come at a key time when the snacking sector is the only baby food category experiencing growth in the UK. The UK baby snack market is the most advanced globally and by building on our experience in the UK, we can be one step ahead internationally and we are fearless with our approach. We’re building new relationships within tactically important markets and as a company we have the pace and innovation to respond to demand."
