Lindt & Sprungli has announced the launch of a fruit-centred chocolate range in France.

Lindt Sensation Fruit will be available in all supermarkets and Lindt shops across France from next month.

The Swiss chocolate maker has described the new chocolate range as a way to “combine pleasure and naturalness”.

The new range has three lines: Raspberry Cranberry; Blueberry Acai and Pomegranate.

The chocolates will be sold in 150g and 65g bags. The RRP for a 150g bag is EUR3.79 (US$4.29) and for a 65g bag is EUR1.99.

A spokesperson for Lindt told just-food the chocolates offered adults a “nibbling” opportunity. The spokesperson added there were no plans at present to launch outside of France.

Lindt announced its full-year results last month and while it continued to grow its business ahead of the global chocolate market in 2015, supported by both organic growth and the contribution from acquisitions, its sales did miss analyst expectations.

The company did not provide sales for individual markets. However, the Lindor maker said sales in Europe increased 5.4% on an organic basis and when measured in local currencies helped by double-digit growth in the UK, as well as “great performances” in Germany and France.
