The fresh deli prepared foods processor will pay $17.5m in cash for the group.
The deal will be partially funded through an amended and restated $27.4m senior secured credit facility with M&T Bank, Mama’s Creations’ existing lender.
According to Mama’s Creations, Crown contributes approximately $56m in profitable annual revenue, based on results for the year ended 28 June.
The move is expected to increase Mama’s Creations’ sales base by nearly 40%, the group added, “significantly broadening its customer reach into strategic new accounts”.

By GlobalDataIn its statement, Mama’s Creations said: “Overall, this strategic combination bolsters Mama’s position as a one-stop-shop deli solutions platform with a robust poultry, beef and prepared foods production footprint and accelerates the company’s progress toward its goal of reaching $1 billion in annual revenue by 2030.”
The deal will also see Mama’s Creations acquire a recently upgraded 42,000ft2 production facility in Bay Shore, New York, equipped with “significant” incremental grill capacity on equipment that Mama’s Creations already uses.
Around 200 Crown employees will also join Mama’s Creations as part of the transaction. Crown’s Bay Shore facility is said to be located roughly 10 miles away from its own Farmingdale site.
Mama’s Creations, previously trading as MamaMancini’s Holdings, changed its name in August 2023 to reflect its “evolution into a national, deli-prepared foods” company.
The business has expanded through M&A, with T&L Creative Salads and Olive Branch, both in New York, acquired in 2021.
It also bought a minority stake in New Jersey-based Chef Inspirational Foods, a supplier of prepared foods such as salads, meals and side dishes, in 2022.
In the second quarter of fiscal 2026, Mama’s Creations anticipates revenue growth of at least 20% to $34m. Net income is projected to reach at least $1.2m, up from $1.1m in the prior year’s quarter.
