McCain Foods is launching a line of McCain Pizza Toasties in Australia, a pizza snack aimed at "families on-the-go".

According to McCain, the range is a category first in the country. The toasties are "quickly" heated and then finished in the toaster.

The line is free from artificial colours and flavourings. It consists of three varieties – ham and cheese; cheese and tomato; and BBQ beef – with an RRP of A$7.49 (US$5.78) for a pack of four.

"We’re thrilled to be introducing a unique product range to the category that will meet the needs of the modern, busy Australian families who want great tasting snacks that are quick and easy to prepare," Mike O’Brien, marketing director for McCain in Australia and New Zealand, said. "McCain Pizza Toasties are a great tasting, quick and convenient snacking option that can easily be prepared – it is pizza as easy as toast."

McCain has secured listings with Woolworths Ltd., Coles and Metcash nationally.
