Alfa said yesterday (2 July) that Dionisio Garza had announced his decision at a “recent board meeting”.
The board has asked Garza to stay on as chairman from next April. It said Garza had made a “ great contribution” in his 35 years with the company – with 15 of those as chairman and CEO.
“During this last period, ALFA reconfigured its business portfolio to focus on less cyclical products of greater value added and profitability, transforming ALFA into a global company with solid, sustainable growth prospects,” the company said.
