"With this new range, the brand perfectly meets the expectations of Chinese mothers who wish to not only feed their babies with products manufactured according to strict and recognised quality standards, but also according to demanding environmental criteria: water quality, lack of pesticides and other chemicals, as well as the absence of GMOs," Sodiaal said.

Nactalia was introduced into in China in 2012 through the initial deal with dairy ingredients exporter and importer Century International Trading, a company based in Dalian in Liaoning Province.

The brand was first launched in 2010 and is available in France, as well as the Middle East and Africa.

Sodiaal said the deal would see it triple its production of organic milk in four years to reach 200m litres. The co-op said it should be the largest processor of organic milk in France by 2020.
