Interim chief financial officer of Dutch retailer Ahold Dudley Eustace has resigned.

Eustace has also left the company’s board of directors, the company said today [Friday].
Ahold’s Supervisory Board appointed Eustace to the company board as interim Chief Financial Officer on 11 March,2003. Eustace replaced Michael Meurs, who resigned in February 2003 amid an accounting scandal at Ahold’s US subsidiary, US Foodservices. Eustace’s primary most important responsibility was to secure the financial fundaments of the company. He was also responsible for the recruitment of a permanent CFO.
