NETHERLANDS: Ahold will expand into France by 2004
In an interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf , a board member of major retailer Royal Ahold revealed that the group is aiming to establish a presence in France within the next three years. Jan Andrea said that Ahold is also considering establishing outlets in the UK and Germany, although France remains the favourite for expansion.
