UK herb and salad group Vitacress and Camino Real, a unit of Dutch herbs supplier Gipmans Group, have set up a venture in the Dutch market.
The venture will trade under the name Vitacress Real and will supply living, bunched and fresh cut herbs in the Netherlands.

“Our target is to become the most professoinal supplier of fresh herbs in the market place,” Keef Van Poortvliet, who will be MD of the new venture, told just-food today (12 March).
“This joint venture brings together two very strong players and should give us advantages over the competition in terms of food safety and quality and also generate synergies through economies of scale.”
