Dutch dairy manufacturer Campina has purchased a German plant for the production of low fat soft cheese.
According to Dutch paper Financiele Telegraaf, Campina is aiming to consolidate its position as market leader in the production of this quark cheese (Schichtkäse) in Germany.
On average, the plant generates an annual turnover of €11.4m (US$10.1m).
