Bert Roetert, CEO of Dutch retailer Schuitema, is to leave following confirmation of the change of control at the company.
Roetert informed the Schuitema board of his decision after private equity group CVC secured regulatory approval for its purchase of the 73% held in the business by Dutch retail giant Ahold.
He said: “In coming to Schuitema, my main task was to bring Schuitema to play a totally independent role in a consolidating market. This historic milestone has been reached and C1000 is writing a new piece of history.”
Schuitema runs the C1000 stores in the Netherlands.
