Dutch grocery retailer Sligro Food Group has today (25 November) announced that director of food retail Johan Pardoel will leave the company next year.
Pardoel, who will leave 1 March, has decided to continue his career outside the food retail sector. The company said it will start a search for Pardoel’s successor shortly.

He was responsible for all Sligro Food Group’s retail activities, including the over 80 EMTÉ supermarkets owned by the company and the over 60 Golff franchise stores.
Pardoel will continue actively managing our food retail activities at the end of February, the company said. Prior to joining Sligro in 2008, he worked held various positions at discount retailer Aldi.
Sligro’s food retail activities include around 130 full-service supermarkets, of which 30 are operated by independent retailers.
