Dutch fresh fruit and vegetable supplier Staay Food Group has acquired local hard fruit specialist Frupaks Fruit.

All of the shares of Frupaks will be transferred to Staay Food Group with effect from 1 January, the firms revealed in a joint statement.

Frupaks will operate independently within the Staay Food Group and no jobs will be affected by the takeover.

“Staay Food Group will of course use Frupaks’ knowledge and experience in the sourcing of top fruit. The Staay Food Group and Frupaks Fruit will closely cooperate in the field of marketing,” the companies said.

No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
