The supervisory board of Dutch food group Wessanen has announced that a 30 June meeting of shareholders has approved the nomination of Ad Veenhof as chief executive officer.

During the shareholders’ meeting Kees Storm, chairman of the supervisory board, said: “As mentioned before, the first priority of Ad Veenhof is to restore the company’s performance. The supervisory board will give him ample space to do so. Mr Veenhof is expected to present his proposals regarding the further strategy before the end of 2003.”
The executive board of Wessanen will now consist of Veenhof (chairman), Koos Kramer and Rick Thorne.
