Dairy products giant NZ Dairy Foods has today [Thursday] unveiled major restructure plans that will see a merger of its food and beverages divisions.
CEO Peter McClure said in a statement: “We are moving to a structure that reflects the fact that NZ Dairy Foods operates as a fast moving consumer goods company.
“The new structure will enable us to move more swiftly, be more efficient, and above all, be more innovative in meeting the needs of our customers.”
As part of the restructuring, the company will aim to close some of the operations that are duplicated across its food and beverage divisions.
This means that some of Dairy Foods 900 staff will be made redundant, but the company said that at this time the extent of the job losses is unsure.
