New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra is considering using its own name to replace the NZMP trademark brand of its ingredients business.

Fonterra did not use the NZMP name in its half-year result report, referring instead to the unit as “ingredients business”. The NZMP logo, launched in 1999, is an acronym for New Zealand Milk Products.
Fonterra CEO Craig Norgate told the Business Herald that the company was assessing the use of NZMP as a brand in the overseas market.
